HATBORO FEDERAL DONATES $222,222 IN SUPPORT OF EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Bank continues its mission of supporting the education of tomorrow’s leaders

(HATBORO, Pa.)  There are community banks and then there are banks that weave their way into the fiber of the communities they serve. Hatboro Federal is just such a bank. For more than 80 years, the bank that was born right here in the neighborhood has given back to the community it serves in countless ways. With a focus on philanthropy that is directed towards education, Hatboro Federal donated this year $222,222 in grants to eleven local organizations that meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).  EITC allows tax credits for eligible businesses that contribute to a scholarship, educational improvement or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

Through years of generous, recurring contributions, Hatboro Federal has assisted local educational foundations and community programs to fulfill their missions of providing innovative programs and extraordinary learning experiences for students and children in the communities the bank serves.

Linda Roehner, CEO of Hatboro Federal, takes great pride in the bank’s history of supporting the communities it serves. “Hatboro Federal’s EITC grants provide funding for programs that deliver educational services that are greatly needed in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Through these grants, we can make a difference for local educational foundations and organizations that benefit children of all ages.” Roehner added, “Supporting these organizations helps to develop tomorrow’s leaders – whether through special classes, creative outreach programs, or state-of-the-art instructional techniques – we are helping students succeed both now and in the future.”

Customer deposits are the foundation of a community bank’s ability to give back. Roehner explained, “Every dollar deposited at Hatboro Federal becomes a catalyst for change; when our customers trust us with their savings, they’re not just banking – they’re building a brighter future for the neighborhoods we call home. We invite everyone to come bank with us and experience the difference.”

Educating, illuminating and empowering today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders – it’s a legacy that Hatboro Federal is proud to embody and share with the communities it serves. Making tomorrow better…today.
