CBS 3-On Your Side Reports Hatboro Federal Scores 100% in Consumers' Checkbook Customer Service Survey

Hatboro, PA—Hatboro Federal Savings President and CEO Joseph J. Tryon, Jr., announces that Consumers' Checkbook readers gave the community bank a perfect score of 100% for customer service in its latest edition. "We are thrilled that CBS 3-On Your Side Consumer Reporter Jim Donovan presented the results of this survey in a recent broadcast," says Tryon. "For more than 70 years our mission has been, and continues to be, to assure our customers that there will always be caring management and staff in each of our community branches who are more than willing to speak with them when they have a question, a concern, or need financial counsel."

In the October 19 television segment, Delaware Valley Consumers' Checkbook President Robert Krughoff told CBS 3's Donovan, "Every now and then you need to talk to somebody who can give you some advice," and it is "small independent chains that may have only three, five or ten branches, or something like that, that actually rate the best."

Unlike many of the area's larger banks, Hatboro Federal offers a fee-free Priority Checking Account and no monthly fee for debit card purchases. Hatboro Federal is also a member of the Allpoint ATM surcharge-free network with 43,000 sites worldwide.

Hatboro Federal Savings, one of Bucks and Montgomery Counties' leading community banks, was chartered by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in February 1941, and has current assets of $ 524 million.

In August 2011, Hatboro Federal was awarded the prestigious 2011 Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB) Regional Community Service Award for an "Innovative Learning Grant" given to Hatboro-Horsham High School's Senior Robotics Team through the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation. The Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers is an organization representing the interests of more than 250 community banks across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recognizing their commitment to the customers and communities they serve.

Headquartered at 221 S. York Road, Hatboro Federal Savings also has branch offices in Warrington, Warminster and Jamison, offering financial products and services to individuals and families.
