Hatboro Federal Donation Awarded to Upper Moreland Music Patrons

Hatboro, PA — Joseph J. Tryon, president of Hatboro Federal Savings, is pleased to announce that the Upper Moreland Music Patrons Association has won the bank's $500 Operation Helping Hands donation for the month of August 2010.

"Music education is a vital component of our area schools' curricula and provides a valuable enrichment experience for participating students," says Joe Tryon. "Hatboro Federal is a community bank committed to supporting our excellent students, parents, faculty and schools."

The Upper Moreland Music Patrons Association is a nonprofit group consisting of parents and friends of students enrolled in music programs in primary, middle and high schools. Membership is open to everyone. The association raises needed funds, plans activities and chaperones various events. They also provide three scholarships for high school seniors who decide to study music after graduation. Students in the orchestra, band and chorus are eligible.

"The Upper Moreland Music Patrons Association is thrilled with this donation. We are a dedicated group of volunteers who encourage and support students participating in various programs in our school district's music departments by holding various fundraising events," says Association President Tom Winterberg. "We are deeply grateful to Hatboro Federal Savings and all who voted for us."
