NGA, Inc. Awarded Hatboro Federal Helping Hands Donation

Hatboro, PA — NGA, Inc., formerly The Needlework Guild of America, will receive Hatboro Federal Savings Operation Helping Hands $500 donation for October 2010.

"We are very pleased to award this donation to NGA," says Hatboro Federal President Joseph J. Tryon. "This dedicated group, headquartered in Warminster, does a wonderful job of providing clothing, linens and other personal items to countless numbers of disadvantaged citizens locally, as well as throughout the United States."

Founded in England in 1882, the American-based guild was incorporated in Philadelphia in 1885. NGA is affiliated with more than 170 nonprofit charities across the United States and distributes more than 240,000 clothing and related items yearly. The organization has 33 Branches in ten different states.

"As NGA celebrates its 125th birthday, we were surprised with a wonderful gift from Hatboro Federal Savings. During this difficult economic time, NGA has been faced with a decrease in donations but a high increase in the need for services," says Executive Director Michele Rich-Bonn. "The donation has come at such a wonderful time and we thank Hatboro Federal's friends and customers for voting for us. With the cold season upon us, NGA has been receiving many requests for coats, hats and gloves to help disadvantaged children and the elderly stay warm."

You don't need to be a customer of the bank. Just visit any Hatboro Federal branch office and fill out a form to vote for your favorite nonprofit organization. Hatboro Federal Savings, Bucks and Montgomery Counties' leading community bank, was chartered by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in February 1941, and has current assets in excess of $500 million dollars.

Headquartered at 221 S. York Road, Hatboro, Hatboro Federal Savings also has branch offices in Warrington, Warminster and Jamison offering financial products and services to individuals and families.
