Hatboro Federal Donates $500 to Christ's Home for Children
Hatboro, PA — Hatboro Federal Savings President Joseph J. Tryon has announced that the bank's $500 Operation Helping Hands donation for the month of September 2010 has been awarded to Christ's Home for Children in Warminster, PA.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to assist the dedicated staff of Christ's Home who care for needy, neglected and abused children giving them the medical, emotional and spiritual guidance they need not only to survive but also to thrive," notes Joe Tryon. "This organization is a vital asset to our community."
Christ's Home for Children is a nonprofit organization founded in 1903 and operates as a nondenominational Christian ministry. Christ's Home also offers a retirement facility in Warminster founded in 1923.
"Christ's Home for Children has been operating in Bucks County for more than 100 years and our community's generosity has always been very important to us," says CEO Richard F. Smyth. "The children who are referred to us have been in and out of foster care and residential facilities for most of their young lives. Christ's Home is often the first stable, family-style environment they've ever experienced. However, our ultimate goal is family reunification. We thank Hatboro Federal Savings and their customers and friends for awarding us this Helping Hands donation."
