Hatboro Federal Donates $500 to Bucks County SPCA
Hatboro, PA — Joseph J. Tryon, president of Hatboro Federal Savings, is pleased to announce that the Bucks County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BCSPCA) has won the bank's $500 Operation Helping Hands donation for the month of July 2010.
"We take the commitment to support our community's charitable organizations very seriously here at Hatboro Federal. I am very pleased that our customers and friends voted to support the BCSPCA. They do a stellar job of rescuing, sheltering, and finding homes for the area's lost, abandoned, injured and mistreated animals," says Joe Tryon.
Hatboro Federal's Operation Helping Hands program has pledged to make this donation to a different nonprofit each month.
"We are honored that patrons of Hatboro Federal Savings chose the Bucks County SPCA as the July recipient of the Operation Helping Hands donation. Our work depends on community support in the form of good wishes and encouragement as well as donations. This gift is especially meaningful because it represents both kinds of support, and it could not have come at a better time," says Bucks County SPCA Executive Director Anne Irwin. "We have taken in a record number of animals in connection with cruelty cases this year. This gift will help us to care for these animals, and do our work with optimism and enthusiasm on even the most demanding days."
